New Hope Regional Foundation was formed several years ago by a group of local residents concerned about the lack of health care options in North Central Nebraska.  What is needed, they determined through extensive research, is a state-of-the-art facility with built-in flexibility that could provide safe, high-quality care for local residents and the thousands of tourists who each year visit area attractions.  As the name implies, New Hope is built on the hope and faith that others in the region will share this vision.

The nonprofit New Hope Regional Foundation serves as the fundraising and economic development arm for the Regional Medical Center Complex.  The Foundation has retained a professional fund raiser to help raise construction capital through national grants and other funding avenues.  Within a decade of operation, plans call for the medical center to be supported by an endowment that will protect the organization from economic downturns.

The governing structure is a 9-member executive board, 40-member advisory committee, 18-committee members-at-large, and is comprised of more than 250 members.  Those who contribute at least $1,000 to the project are granted lifetime, nontransferable, voting rights in the Foundation.  Board of directors for the Foundation and board representation for the Medical Center will elected from the Foundation's voting membership.  Nonvoting Foundation memberships also are available to those who contribute less than $1,000.
